We finished up the patio a week or so ago, before that we pulled up the old black plastic trim around the concrete patio and replaced it with a red-brick in a picket fence pattern. We also placed down a few more 12" blocks next to the side of a house for a plastic shed we bought at Meijer. It was on sale since it was last year's model, the best part is that it was already assembled and fit in the back of the Highlander perfectly. So after we replaced the trim and placed the shed we had to find new plants that don't die each year. It took us a couple weeks but we finally purchased four roses, a rose bush, a Wine and Roses bush, and a yellow Spirea bush. These should go well with our two Clematis vines and multiplying Lillies. After we finally picked out our plants I put down some fresh mulch and called it a year for patio improvement. Next year we will probably get something for the back corners but that is it unless something dies. Not sure if we are going to get new patio furniture this year or not, gotta save for the baby. I guess the only thing left is the back light and I may try to put in a new outlet to get some additional lighting out there. Time will only tell. Anyways feel free to check out the new phots and let me know what you think.
